Editors' Notes

The Odyssey is a Kelley Blue Book favorite, our Best Buy and 5-Year Cost to Own minivan winner for 2019. This Honda also is the best-selling minivan in the U.S., with good reason: The Odyssey delivers a family-friendly driving experience that’s hard to beat.

It looks good, it has a highly functional interior, and it’s available with lots of modern safety features. Sure, the Chrysler Pacifica and Toyota Sienna offer similar room and power, but the Honda’s long-term resale values reign supreme in the minivan category. While a Dodge Grand Caravan costs less than the Odyssey, it doesn’t have the Odyssey’s advanced safety features.

Pros

  • Sublime comfort
  • Good driving manners
  • Built-in vacuum
  • 5-Star safety ratings

Cons

  • No hybrid version
  • No all-wheel-drive model
  • A fully loaded Elite costs over $50,000
  • Base model doesn’t have advanced safety features
